How eerie it is to listen. How eerie it is to watch. The color bursts so lovely; colors of benign bombs. American children are smiling while the wounded veterans are not. These reminders of times not left behind; reminders of a war not yet won.
The whistles and the crackling, oh how exciting it is to hear; and yet for that wounded American, they are the sounds of what they feared. All these explosions so unnerving, the seconds are counted down. Out my window I get the impression of what it sounds like when a man is down.
“Oh rockets’ red glare and bombs bursting in air; gave proof through the night that our flag..." will make them all stare. Far off in to the distance of oblivion that at times is too near. It’s funny what we cheer as I remember the soldier holding on to me as I sensed his fear.
Taking for granted perhaps I do at what is our celebration; of a day commemorating our “freedom” from an old crown’s annihilation. Americans are singing of a sweet land of liberty and the pursuit of our happiness that even with blood is not guaranteed.
Louder and brighter with smoke trails following behind; what a symphony and vision for the deaf and the blind. These fireworks we can play with and smile with delight; as they explode in the air as us civilians are not haunted by a deployment’s fight.
“Happy 4th of July” my fellow country men and “Happy Birthday” to our homeland. So proudly we hail and salute our flag and all for which she stands. The fireworks are our tradition but there is one thing sadly most don't try to understand. The sights, sounds and dread of where bombs aimed at us will land.

'Shock and awe' campaign underway in Iraq

The U.S. and its allies launched a massive aerial assault against Iraq on Friday. At 12:15 p.m. EST, anti-aircraft fire could be seen rising in the skies above Baghdad. Within an hour, tremendous explosions began rocking the Iraqi capital, as the Pentagon announced "A-Day" was underway.
The campaign was intended to instill "shock and awe" among Iraq's leaders, and it was directed at hundreds of targets in Iraq, officials said. Plumes of fire could be seen rising above targets in Baghdad at 1:05 p.m. EST. CNN Correspondent Wolf Blitzer reported that in his 30 years of experience, he had never seen anything on the scale of Friday's attack on the Iraqi capital.
The attack was not limited to Baghdad. Targets were struck in Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city, which lies in the north of the country. And anti-aircraft fire lit up the sky over the southern city of Kirkuk as well.
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld held a news conference at about 1:40 p.m. EST. He announced that the air war had begun, and he listed some of the coalition objectives in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Those objectives included defending Americans against Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction, ridding the Gulf country of such illegal weapons, liberating the Iraqi people, and ending the regime of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
Rumsfeld said that the strike had taken place "on a scale that indicates to Iraqis" that Saddam and his leadership were finished. He added that the allies would work to search for, capture, and drive out terrorists who had found safe harbor in Iraq, as well as to deliver humanitarian relief to the Iraqi people.
Iraqi leaders are "starting to lose control of their country," Rumsfeld announced on Friday. He added that the confusion among Iraqi generals was growing, and he speculated that those close to the Iraqi leader would question where they stood in terms of their support for Saddam.
Rumsfeld also advised Iraqi military officials not to obey orders to use weapons of mass destruction, not to use innocent people as human shields around military forces or equipment, and not to destroy oil wells or blow up dams. He said that those who did not follow this advice would be punished.
The full-scale strike came just days after Iraqi President Saddam Hussein defied a 48-hour deadline to leave the country, which President Bush imposed on March 17. Operation Iraqi Freedom comes as a coalition effort to force Baghdad to disarm.
Warning of the attack
When Iraq lost the 1991 Gulf War, the country agreed to peace terms with the coalition that defeated Baghdad. However, it did not always cooperate with those terms. For example, Iraq was required to allow U.N. weapons inspectors ensure the country was not rebuilding certain types of arms. But Iraq kicked the inspectors out of the country in 1998, and they did not return until the U.N. passed Resolution 1441 last year.
Resolution 1441 demanded that Iraq give up its alleged weapons of mass destruction. The measure threatened "serious consequences" if Iraq did not disarm.
The U.S., Britain, and Spain introduced a newer resolution to the United Nations on February 24. It stated that Iraq was in "material breach" of Resolution 1441 - language that could have led to the U.N.'s involvement in the current strike. However, the U.N. did not pass the measure. So the current strike against the Gulf nation comes without the full support of the U.N. - a move President Bush had insisted the U.S. and its allies would make, if necessary.
The framers of the U.S. Constitution gave Congress the power to declare war, but they made the president the commander-in-chief of the armed services. Under the War Powers Act passed by Congress in 1973, the president must consult with Congress before deploying the U.S. military in "hostilities."
Historically, U.S. presidents have not always followed the requirements of the War Powers Act, and Congress for the most part has not enforced it. But President Bush did seek congressional approval for a potential strike in October 2002. At that time, the House and Senate both authorized the president to attack Iraq if Saddam refused to abide by U.N. resolutions.
The War Powers Act also requires President Bush to report to Congress every 60 days on military operations. The White House also must update lawmakers on planning for "post-military" operations in Iraq, which could include efforts to keep the peace in Iraq and help rebuild the Gulf country after the war is over.

Court martial
The court martial to consider the charges against Arnold began meeting on June 1, 1779, but was delayed until December 1779 by General Clinton's capture of Stony Point, New York, throwing the army into a flurry of activity to react. A number of members of the panel of judges were ill-disposed to Arnold over actions and disputes earlier in the war, yet Arnold was cleared of all but two minor charges on January 26, 1780. Arnold worked over the next few months to publicize this fact; however, in early April, just one week after Washington congratulated Arnold on the March 19 birth of his son, Edward Shippen Arnold, Washington published a formal rebuke of Arnold's behavior.

Sharia law (Arabic: شريعة) is the body of Islamic law. The term means "way" or "path"; it is the legal framework within which the public and some private aspects of life are regulated for those living in a legal system based on Islam.
Sharia deals with all aspects of day-to-day life, including politics, economics, banking, business law, contract law, sexuality, and social issues.
There is not a strictly codified uniform set of laws that can be called Sharia. It is more like a system of several laws, based on the Qur'an, Hadith and centuries of debate, interpretation and precedent.

Sections of Sharia law
Sharia law is divided into three main sections:
- Faith (Aqaida).
- Ethics (Akhlaq).

Laws and practices under Sharia
Marriage laws
- The Muslim man who is not currently a fornicator can only marry a woman who is not currently a fornicatress or a chaste woman from the people of the book.
- The Muslim fornicator can only marry a Muslim fornicatress.
- The Muslim woman who is not currently a fornicatress can only marry a Muslim man who is not currently a fornicator.
- The Muslim fornicatress can only marry a Muslim fornicator.
- The woman cannot marry without the consent of her guardian. If she marries, her husband becomes her new guardian.
- The guardian may choose a suitable partner for a virgin girl, but the girl is free to contest and has the right to say 'no'.
- The guardian cannot marry the divorced woman or the widow if she did not ask to be married.
- "Do not marry unless you give your wife something that is her right." It is obligatory for a man to give bride wealth (gifts) to the woman he marries.
The penalty for theft
The Qur'an and several hadith set out two different punishments for theft (stealing). They say that the punishment should depend on how many times the person stole, and what he stole. One punishment is imprisonment. Another is amputating (cutting off) the hands or feet. However, before a person is punished, two eyewitnesses must swear, under oath, that they saw the person stealing. If this does not happen, then the punishment cannot be carried out. Also, some other requirements have to be met. These requirements have to do with the theft, what was stolen, and how the theft happened. All of these requirements must be met, as decided by a judge.[Qur'an 5:38][1]
The penalty for adultery
In The Quran it is stated that if an unmarried man or woman commit adultery (sleep with a person they are not married to), the punishment should be 100 lashes[2]. In the Hadith the punishment is 100 lashes and banishment for a year, and if a married man or woman commit adultery the punishment should be 100 lashes and then stoning to death[3]. There are some requirements that need to be met before this punishment can happen. For example, the punishment cannot happen unless the person confesses, or unless four male eyewitnesses each saw, at the same time, the man and the women in the action of adultery. Every requirement must be met, as decided by a judge, before the punishment can happen.(Qur'an 24:2)
Festivals
There are two festivals that are considered Sunnah.[4]
During these festivals, specific rituals are used:
- Sadaqah (charity) before Eid ul-Fitr prayer.[5]
- The Prayer and the Sermon on Eid day.
- Takbirs (glorifying God) after every prayer in the days of Tashriq (see footnote for def.)[6]
- Sacrifice of unflawed, four-legged grazing animal of appropriate age after the prayer of Eid ul-Adha in the days of Tashriq.[7]
Dietary laws

Islamic law does not list every food and drink that is thought to be pure. It does list some specific foods and drinks that are not allowed.[8]
- Pork, blood, and the meat of dead animals are not allowed. People are also not allowed to eat animals that were slaughtered in the name of someone other than God.
- Animals must be slaughtered in the manner of tazkiyah (cleansing) by taking God’s name.
- Intoxicants (like alcoholic drinks) are not allowed.
While Islamic law prohibits (does not allow) dead meat, this does not apply to fish and locusts.[9][10][11] Also, hadith literature prohibits beasts having sharp canine teeth, birds having claws and tentacles in their feet,[12] Jallalah (animals whose meat stinks because they feed on filth),[13] tamed donkeys,[14] and any piece cut from a living animal.[8][15]
Muslim apostates
Most interpretations (or ways of understanding Sharia) do not allow Muslims to convert to other religions. This is strictly forbidden, and is called apostasy. In Muslim theology, apostasy is equal to treason. In most interpretations of Sharia, the punishment for apostasy is death. However, in some interpretations, there is no capital punishment for a Muslim who peacefully converts away from Islam (i.e. without becoming violent or aggressive towards the Muslims).
In many Muslim countries, some people may be accused of apostasy even if they have non-conventional (non-traditional or unusual) interpretations of the Quran. The severe persecution of the famous expert in Arabic literature, Prof. Nasir Hamid Abu Zayd, is an example of this. In some countries, Sunni and Shia Muslims often accuse each other of apostasy. Many people explain the current civil conflict in Iraq by pointing to the very harsh religious opposition between Sunnis and Shias in the country.

We as an American people may not see that an old feud is still going on and we are guilty by association. Regardless of our personal views on acceptance and tolerance, there are those that are decided what it is they want and the lengths they are willing to go to get it. And it has been proven, some of their methods work.
I don't want anymore to die under the name of God and religion, but what I want isn't what others want that are more persuasive with their speeches. I know I inherited the same wars and domino affect as the rest of my fellow countrymen, and fellow Earthlings. I know I'm fucked if America is taken over by extremists that are within our boarders. I'm female and not Muslim aka I'm an "Infidel" and I have ovaries that make me a target to conform or punish for refusing to be controlled.
Me becoming a minister for the Universal Life Church, to some I would be begging for it. Promoting harmony between the faiths and thoughts, is a crime to some. Being open to marry same gender couples, makes me a target for not denouncing homosexuality at the spiritual level. I promote diversity, I'm challenging the word of a declaration against everyone else' liberty. Not all American Muslims want a civil war, but I can admit even as I seek to get as many sides of the story, when it comes to the Catholic Church as an Institution, I for a moment before I continue to think about it, could sympathize with the IRA because of Los San Patricios from the Mexican-American War and I remembered part of the chisme that split the church with Horny King Henry VIII. But at least Queen Elizabeth #1 tried to balance things out being the result of King Henry's hormones. But still....
There is so much contradiction, but like I said, before I continue to think about it and remember they fight with gorilla warfare that causes harm to innocents also. No one side is right while they argue and kill tooth and nail. But the Protestants and Catholics may see they don't only have Jesus in common when they stop long enough to notice; they are on an Islamic hit list since it will be a crime to worship Christ if the Jihad is successful, like how the extremists want it. Christian Churches have been attacked in other countries by the command of radical leaders with an arsenal of followers that agree Christianity got's to go.
The Patriot Act doesn't matter to a sympathizer. Proof of that is not calling "La Migra" in whatever language, even if there is a trail of tears that comes along with getting folks over the border with "Coyotes" or whatever is the name for those make it so the undocumented can live off the grid or with fake credentials, and some of those crossed over with ill intentions.
Opinions form culturally, and loyalties are influenced. I have pondered this being I am first generation American with Mexican roots. But me dropping a dime or not, isn't what left me thinking. I don't know anything to report other than, there is that question of "What am I first?" that I am not the first or will be the last to ask themselves that or be pressured in to answering. This question applies to faith as well.

That lesson shown that what appeals more is where the line in the sand is drawn. Payback for being questioned as if traitors, made folks want it. Looking back at history and psychology, it's all there, but with this twist on. I'm looking at the world through the eyes of a grown up @narcho-peace-goth-punx that does remember being repressed by religion and gender. Being life happened, if I am speaking about taking serious those that want or sympathize with the Third Jihad, so all other faiths are allowed to exist; that says something, especially because I'm looking ahead from remembering to look back.

I think The Ghost Dances need to be reconsidered to expand and include other faiths in the prayer for protection and no more persecution of anyone. I am young enough to get to see it coming if I live to old age. My children younger, their children I don't know if they will exist, but the children of the younger generations will have to potentially decide how much they support the US Constitution. Whatever the name for their God is, there may be enough children that did think about it, living to defend it and see that America be safe from all directions. This isn't to be anti-Muslim, this is me sharing I know enough that there are many Muslims that are anti-America that also happen to live here.

Hitler put the call out for all Germans to return to Deutschland and fight as Nazis. Americans did get pressured to be German first. Some answered the call, some went to Internment Camps instead, and Oktoberfest is really the only time in America when it is acceptable to have German roots pride, and the questions/remarks about Nazi Germany aren't asked because the beer is so good, folks are happy buzzing it. This sucks to say, but it may come down to drinking and bacon, and being able to ingest both that would fend off an Islamic take over of America. Not so much female rights getting trampled on. I remember feeling like Modern English with "I Melt With You", were describing to me a love song about resisting conformity and loving with a brave heart. It became an anthem, then it got associated with someone and that included the troops. I know this film is available to watch online, on Netflix. I feel like it wouldn't be unusual to say I would need to feel a little numb with a buffer, if I'm to watch it this documentary. It makes me think of Doc and what he may have felt himself. Another Flash Back To learn From. This One Is About The Ghost Dance I learned about back in High School continuation. My history class teacher assigned us to watch the documentary series 500 Nations that aired for free on network TV. We were discussing in class the conquering of South America by the Spaniards. He says that at least with the Christianity that came with Spain, stopped the blood sacrifices of the Aztecs. Instinctively I speak up and ask "What about The Crusades?" he answered "Good point." To which I respond "FUCK YEAH!" He let me slide for F-Bombing because I was stoked I made a good point that was acknowledged by an adult that is also a history teacher when he's not a musician. I forget his name, but I am forever grateful for him introducing to me the documentary series 500 Nations.
Now below listen to the reasoning of dancing The Ghost Dance that martyred even more, but also how the Navajo language helped during WWII keep Fellow Americans alive. It was a sense of duty to the land, not the government that fucked them up something fierce. Answering that prayer is on delay because there is a real threat to that devil now, and in the process of taking it out, the descendants of the ancestors also have to convert as a people; all over if they don't also fend off an Islamic America from ever establishing.

A sports team winning, civilians will throw riot parties. A court case challenging if Justice was colorblind, I remember that riot and feeling grateful the National Guard kept East LA safe from even itself, considering street gang wars were what they were; at least for a little while.
Since WWII, America took the fight off its shores. It's not winning the war on drugs, but again, no mass invasion all at once.
