Thinking back on it, 40 years of hanging in there through good times and the rough. Hard to believe it, but not really. Life has made sense enough that The Class of 1974 thrives on.....
Dedicated with much love and respect
May there be 40 more years of being Feisty, Original and still Punk at Heart.
*My Happy Thoughts For You*
May Grace have it be that when you retire in to your golden years, you'll have a cool place to live at; plenty of good food to eat, no more worries about having enough to pay the bills.
That you take fun and relaxing vacations often and you bring me back a souvenir. You get lucky on Bingo nights and by lucky I leave it open *wink, wink nudge, nudge*; and last but not least:
I'd like for you to always have great, loving friends to count on surrounding you so you don't ever feel lonely.
*smiles*

We may have not wanted to grow up, but living life a while, the definition of "growing up" has evolved. It's good to want to remain young at heart and you can, though there are those moments when experiences did age us regardless.
But even if they did age us, we do still have more than one option, in how to handle and keep a balance. We have more say in what we think, do and become than we give ourselves credit for. Part of growing up I found is realizing that.
Life is a journey and one worth living. For Ms. Veronica aka "Vero" today is the day that marks a major milestone 40 years in the making. She's come a long way, and my admiration for her is as strong as it was from the very first day I met her on my 16th Birthday.
She was like my Madrina, and has since been a very loved part of my life. Even if we don't hang out often, I know with her I can trust our bond as friends will be life long.

****1st Clue: What year?"****
There are other reasons why the year 1974 stands out, and this you may find out if you are patient enough. What I can say besides my friend Vero turning 40 years Young, Aaron aka "A-Man", Gilberto aka"Beto" and Brad "Brad" and if he was still with us, "Doc"; all celebrated turning "Old" enough to be teased as going "Over The Hill"; this year.
But if they are, they're ready to Rock n' Roll and enjoy the next part of the ride that is LIFE.
****Happy Birthday you Four****
Make it count!
Now for the beginning of what is turning out to be an "Adult After School Special" where it's about making it all count for something.
First though,
Head's up! Pauley's ain't PC and for damn sure not intended for the faint of heart; or for those too young to swear that would otherwise get the soap treatment if they did.
Please try to be at least 18years old if you're going to read like and adult.
It's meant to be controversial, but benign for a reason; that being because life happens and we react, relate and navigate as we try to make sense of it all.
Have an open mind and a sense of humor, even if slightly twisted; you may enjoy the literary ride, though you may get the sudden urge to want to wash your own eyes out with soap. I'm just sayin' *cough*

Have you ever had a daydream so real that you couldn't help but get in to it?
I did.
One day I thought of a man that didn't exist to forget another that I wonder if he even did; and why his memory lingered for so long in my mind. I replayed 'scenes' from this daydream in the quiet moments when I was alone and I couldn't focus on doing much that was productive. It kept me company but also it made me wonder what, and whom, was out there that I have yet to discover. It became a matter of wishful 'what-if's' that challenged the dissatisfaction of what I have known.
